Breakfast & the bar exam

ADVERTISEMENTS
Nice, huh? Omelette with cheese, salsa, cilantro, and avocado on top. Yum.

Good Saturday morning breakfast. Especially since I have to start studying for today soon (sigh).

Studying is going all right, I think. I am doing solidly well on contracts & property practice questions, not as well on con or crim. So today I make flashcards for those so I can get my scores above 50% on those topics.

BarBri is very, very boring but at least going forces me to sit down and go over the outlines and write some stuff down. I have class in the mornings, and I study on my own before class and in the afternoon. It is thrilling to say the least. The bar exam is like this elaborate hazing ritual.

Last weekend we were out of town, and I've been playing catch up all week. We drove from Omaha to Chicago on Thursday through crazy, wild weather and from Chicago to Appleton, WI on Friday for my college roommate's wedding, which took place on Saturday. We stayed with Laura on Thursday night, and had breakfast with her and the Lobster and Marvey on Friday morning.
Lobster demonstrates mad shoe-putting-on skillz.

Laura helps Marvey with his footwear.

After breakfast, we went to the science store and the Lobster showed me all the clay. The science store was SO COOL. We would be totally broke if there was one here. Thankfully its only location is in Chicago, and their website doesn't really capture the pleasure of the store and being able to wander through it and touch all the weird crap.

Upon our arrival in Appleton, we discovered that Curt's trunk leaks and all of my things were soaked and stinky. Blast! We washed them at Anne's parents' house and I only had to sacrifice one white t-shirt. We had a great time at the wedding, and drank entirely too much of Wisconsin's finest beverages.

Don't we look cute?

Study time. Boooooooo.
