Tractor Trailer Accident Blocks Highway in Dallas

Interstate 635 westbound was shut down for most of this morning after a box truck full of wine bottles tipped over. The driver of the truck was injured in the crash and taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of the accident was being investigated.

A team of workers worked quickly to clear the wreckage. Wreckers were able to eventually get the truck upright and cleared by 8:30. Motorists were advised to take alternative routes.

Big truck accidents can be very dangerous. Statistics show that each year thousands of motorists are killed or severely injured by the negligent operation of 18 wheeler drivers.
