Belgische Zeitungen verklagen Google

Eine Gruppe belgischer Zeitungsverleger verlangt von Google wegen Verletzung des Copyrightgesetzes bis zu 77,5 Millionen US-Dollar, was ungefähr 49,2 Millionen Euro entspricht.

Google hatte die Artikel der Verlage scheinbar auf Google News veröffentlicht und deren Webseiten zwischengespeichert. Die belgische Verlegergruppe reichte daraufhin im April 2006 erstmals Klage ein. Laut Margaret Boribon, einer Vertreterin von Copiepresse, habe man in Vorfeld versucht mit Google direkt zu einer Einigung zu kommen. (…)
