Memorial Day Brings Increase in DUI Arrests

The police were out in force this Memorial Day watching for drunk drivers. In what has become a modern-day tradition, state police and local law enforcement beef up their forces for the annual Memorial Day onslaught. As millions of Americans hit the highways for the Memorial Day weekend and the traditional beginning of the summer drive season, police become extra-vigilant watching for speeders and potentially drunk drivers. Some states pulled out all the stops this weekend. In Ohio, state and local police teamed up with the Attorney General’s office to ensure instant action.
