Dalmatian Press book sets with toys recalled due to choking hazard
Toy pieces can detach, allowing children to swallow
On April 8, 2008, about 17,000 Little Builder Children’s Board Book Sets with Toys were recalled by Dalmatian Press LLC because accessories on the toys can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
The book sets were sold with a toy concrete mixer and a toy dump truck. The cylinder on the concrete mixer and the tailgate on the dump truck are the accessories that detach, creating the choking hazard.
Little Builder Children’s Board Book Sets included in the recall have ISBN 1-49373-215-9. The recalled sets have four concept board books (color, tools, 123, and shapes) and two toy trucks (dump truck and concrete mixer truck).
Wal-Mart, Levy Home Entertainment, Lion Sales of NW Brunswick, Farris Wholesale Outlet, Crane Book Sales, Ingram Book Co., Books A Million, and Christmas Tree Shop stores nationwide sold the recalled Little Builder Children’s Board Book Sets. Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble.com also sold the recalled Dalmatian Press book sets.
The book sets were sold from August 2007 through February 2008 for about $9.
Consumers should take the recalled toys and return the entire book set to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange. For more information, customers may contact Dalmatian Press at 1-866-418-2572, or visit the company’s website.
