A holiday season that has already seen numerous recalls due to concerns over lead paint continued its frightening pattern on December 6, 2007, when The Home Depot recalled about 64,000 holiday figurines. The surface paint on the figurines contains lead. The figurines, which were made in China, include plastic snowmen and bears sold at Home Depot stores for between $10 and $20.

The following products were involved in the recall:

• Holiday Bear Door Greeter, SKU number 894-825
• Snowman with ?Let it Snow? Sign, SKU number 894-893
• Three Snowmen with ?Joy?Sign, SKU number 896-964
• Snowman Votive Holder, SKU number 967-467

Consumers are advised to stop using the figurines and return them to any Home Depot for a full refund.
