Bar Exam: Day 1: Seriously? This is All You Got?

Essay 1: Torts
Essay 2: Con. Law -- 1st Amendment
Essay 3: Contracts -- Formation
Performance Test: Persuasive Memo -- Discovery

No major disasters, my computer didn't have a major systems failure, no rolling blackouts, the room (one of the ginormous exhibition halls at the Expo center, filled with thousands of stressed-out kids) was appropriately air-conditioned. None of my prepared-for worst-case-scenarios came to be. Awesome.

Oh? How'd I do? Pass, pass, pass, and . . . pass.

No. As one of our BarBri professors said, at no time does anyone have the right to say that they are either passing or failing the bar. That's what the examiners are for. I'm just trying to stay confident. Even though I feel like I made a bit of a mess out of one or two of them (you know, it's all there, but it's not pretty), it did feel pretty good. Come to think of it, though, the worse I feel about an exam can often have a directly inverse relationship to how I did. That is, when I feel like crap, I do great. Does that mean I should feel bad about feeling pretty good? Shit. I think I'll just default into feeling nothing at all.

. . .

Ahh. Blissful numbness. Much better.
