Former BBC Worldwide in-house counsel joins Sheppard Mullin

LOS ANGELES ? Philip Daniels, a former in-house counsel at BBC Worldwide, has joined Los Angeles-based Sheppard Mullin as a member in the firm's entertainment & media transactional practice group.

Daniels, who will be in the firm's Century City, Calif., office, joins from entertainment boutique Goldring, Hertz in Beverly Hills, Calif. He specializes in structuring and drafting deals for Internet and mobile platforms. He also advises on development and distribution of digital content in social networking.

He has practiced at London boutique Lee & Thompson and was in-house counsel at BBC Worldwide, where he worked in the Internet and interactive divisions.

In the past two months, two other attorneys, Robb Klein and James Curry, have joined Sheppard Mullin's entertainment and media practice group.
