Leaving it to the legislature.

ADVERTISEMENTS

Whenever you read a case which includes some command to a party seeking relief to lobby congress, everyone knows what is happening: the losing party is being laughed at by the judge.  The relief he seeks is so alien to the judge?s view of the law that he can?t possibly see how it fits into the existing statutory regime.  (And, without exception, every case I have read like always has the plaintiff arguing that the statute or the constitution affords him such relief.)  Usually, a particularly high amount of glee is taken when an incarcerated person is told to lobby a legislature.

So, what goes on in these "legislatures"?  Let?s take a look.

Davis: It?s dangerous to the progression of this state. And it?s dangerous for our children to even know that your philosophy exists! Now you will go to court to fight kids to have the opportunity to be quiet for a minute. But damn if you?ll go to  [court] to fight for them to keep guns out of their hands. I am fed up! Get out of that seat!

Youtube of the Audio here.

That philosophy is atheism.  See, if kids know that a lack of belief in god exists, then they will be ?dangerous.?  Apparently Illinois Rep. Monique Davis believes that just telling kids about a philosophy will invariable cause them to adopt it.  And, as we all know, all criminals are atheists.
