: Legal Pad | LAL.A. judges elect Sharon Lewis Miller as court commissioner

Los Angeles Superior Court judges elected deputy alternate public defender Sharon Lewis Miller as a court commissioner, the Metropolitan News-Enterprise reported.
Miller plans to fill the seat, vacated by Gary Polinsky?s retirement, on Wednesday.
Judges elect candidates for vacant superior court commissioner seats from a court panel's list of nominees.
Of the 26 candidates on the list, MetNews reported the top five in the rankings are:
1. Rubin & Adelson's Alan Rubin
2. Referee Jacqueline Lewis
3. Superior Court probate clearing attorney Robert Wada
4. Referee Steven Berman
5. Wise Pearce's Michael Pearce
