Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts - Likable Criminals

At any given time, I?m reading about three books.  There is the book of my choice, either in paper or on my Nook.  There is my book club book.  And there is the audio book that I?m listening to during my 2 hour daily round trip commute...I downloaded Shantaram, by Gregory David Roberts, based on the excellent recommendations on Audible.com.  Let me first say that Shantaram is not a novel.  It?s an epic.  A tome.  A veritable goliath of text?well?you get the idea.  It?s just short of a thousand pages and a whopping 43 hours of listening (only 18 hours to the abridged version, which I usually hate, but in this case, might have merited consideration).   It?s not an easy feat to keep anyone really engaged over the course of a book that long...continue to full post
