#SEC Maligned Again By #Madoff?

Gentlemen: Please know that I'm one tweet ahead of the latest news bytes re: our former SEC General Counsel, David Becker.

While your efforts to privatize the SEC are being worked through back channels, the revelation that Mr. Becker, who served the SEC from 1998-2002, then rejoined as GC in the months immediately following the disclosure of Madoff's ponzi scheme, should have no impact on our efforts to make the SEC a private enterprise owned and operated by the leading investment banks and brokerages.

Mr. Becker has assured us that he has limited recollection of communication sent by that nut case Harry Markopolos during his tenure, and its merely a coincidence that Mr. Becker, while serving as executor of a family estate, withdrew all investments in Madoff's firm during the same period in which Mr. Markopolos was attempting to communicate with SEC staff.

I've personally investigated all of the circumstances of this matter, and I am 110% confident that Mr. Picard's clawback action against Mr. Becker will have no negative impact on the integrity and good will value of the SEC.
