Novi Road Hits a Problem

In the article published in Hometownlife.com but not caught by the Michigan major properties, an expression of a problem must be read through the lines of the article.

A major commercial road will be closed for seven months, necessitating chaos for the adjacent owners. This initial delay in the construction of pipes and contemplated winter work in Michigan, tells one that this project may not only not be completed in a timely fashion, but may create greater inference for these owners. This office represents a number of owners on Novi Road, and prior to this article had no knowledge of a delay in the project and a contemplated seven month road closing.

Bryson said if the contractor is willing to work in the winter ""we could catch back up to where we should be."" He expects that answer to come in the next month or so if it turns out to be beneficial to the contractor.

Despite the delays, work on relocating the water main is expected to start around Nov. 1, and some road closures could still take place to ""expedite the process.""

The $25 million project, which calls for the widening of Novi Road between 10 Mile Road and Grand River Avenue from two lanes to five and putting a bridge over the CSX Railroad among other upgrades, will force Novi Road to be closed for nearly seven months next year.
