: Chuck NewtonOh Ed, I Am So Very Sorry To Hear This
By Chuck Newton
You know, I grew up with Ed McMahon. Almost every night of my childhood and young adult life I would watch The Tonight Show Staring Johnny Carson and think that Ed McMahon was the fun loving uncle that most people wish they had. He was the ultimate "second fiddle" and I think most of us can identify with being the second fiddle in this World.
Before there was American Idol there was Star Search with Ed McMahon.
That was the reason I found myself so sad when reading The Associated Press and other sites to learn that Ed McMahon is facing foreclosure of his home. Now 85 years old, he has been unable to work since he broke his neck 18 months ago. Apparently, like way too many he was using his house like a piggy bank and borrowed against his equity. Then of course there was no equity and he obviously has been unable to keep up with the payments.
I guess the problem I have in it, is how do you start over at 85?
