Ensoulment Just Thomism observes "Once every four years or so we hear spirited defenses of 13th century embryology." What a great line. His observations about the foolishness of relying on 13th Century scientific observations for one's moral principle is dead-on, and is something that St. Thomas would never have done if he had ultrasound and the modern knowledge of embryology, as I argued here
