Licensing Executives Society, (USA & Canada) Celebrates World IP Day on April 26th with a Series of Events Uniting Professionals Across the Globe
WHAT: In celebration of World Intellectual Property (IP) Day, the Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada) will host ?Around the World with LES? -- a coordinated series of local educational, informational and networking events across five continents designed to unite IP professionals and raise awareness about the importance of IP.
WHO: The local events are open to anyone interested in the business of IP, including licensing and business development professionals, entrepreneurially-minded undergraduate and graduate students, VCs, inventors and others.
WHEN: Monday, April 26th, 2010
WHERE: Events are being hosted by local LES chapters, Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) national societies and the United States Patent and Trademark Office
Those who are unable to attend a local event can still participate by attending a 90-minute LES webinar titled ?Licensing Valuation: A Case Study.? The 1 p.m. (ET) program will feature Matthew J. Raymond, Director of the Intellectual Property Office at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
To register for a local event or the LES Webinar, visit www.lesusacanada.org/ATW
WHY: ?LES is the only organization with the global reach necessary to bring the IP and licensing business community together in this way,? said Ada Nielsen, President of LES (USA & Canada). ?And, in a business where success relies heavily on the connections and deals that move innovation forward, we feel this global gathering has the potential to be very powerful for all who participate.?
