Chicago Politics: How Involved is Obama?

By Phil

ADVERTISEMENTS

In my continued coverage of Chicago Politics, theobamafile.com this evening reports the following:

Fox News Chicago has just reported that there were multiple conversations between Obama Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, and Governor Blagojevich and his chief of staff.  These conversations occurred after Obama named Rahm Emanuel as his Chief of Staff, and were likely recorded.

Fox News Chicago’s Craig Wall quotes a “reliable source” familiar with the FBI’s investigation. Reportedly Emanuel provided Blagojevich with a “list of names acceptable to” Obama.

Obama again denied on Thursday that anyone representing him participated in any negotiations regarding the Senate seat, saying, “I am confident that no representative of mine would have any part of any deals related to this seat.” (video)

If the names were “acceptable” to Obama,” then he and Emanuel had discussions before Emanuel went to the meetings with the disgraced Illinois governor, and Obama knew damn well about the deal-making because he was involved up to his eyeballs.

CitizenWells is similarly tracking this issue with his own Legal Notice.

Folks, this isn’t going away, and we haven’t even touched on the Tony Rezko land deals, much less whatever else any of these investigations are going to dig up. Is it just me or is Obama starting to make President Bill Clinton look like an angel?
