New Orleans weathered the storm well. We have no electricity, but water = and gas utilities are okay. Except for maybe a couple of shingles, the = house is fine. Gustav was about what I expected it would be in my = neighborhood, and not as bad as expected on the coast.

It's very safe aroiund here. Yesterday evening, the neighborhood was = swarming with police and National Guard.
