We interrupt our schedule of Jazz Fest posts for this important announcement.

The next Tchoupitoulas Barathon is scheduled for Friday, May 15, at 6:05 p.m. sharp, start and finish at Le Bon Temps Roule, 4801 Magazine Street (21 blocks from my house). For those unfamiliar with this spectacle, it?s a bar-to-bar race. At each bar, the contestant must down a beer. Six bar, six beers, six miles (more or less, depending on what route you take from bar to bar). Believe you me, running with a belly full of beer is not for the faint hearted. Still, it?s about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on. Click here to download the flyer.
