: The Pullins ReportYum, Fair Food:
By The Pullins Group LLC
Strangely, I've never been that much of a fan of the Knox County Fair. Maybe its the fairgrounds. I always think they're laid out weird.
And the fair is always too early in the summer. You all are supposed to have a fair in late August or early September, you know after the crops are in.
Of course maybe I was spoiled as a youngster. No one, and I mean no one throws a better fair than the Meigs County Fair or even the Gallia County Fair.
Fights, obnoxious drunks, dope, tractor pulls, demolition derbies, hot biker chicks, hot hillbilly chicks, giant pumpkins and squash, fun and food galore. You could find out everything that was going on over the summer by just making a couple laps around the midway. Now those were good county fairs. Maybe I'm still just a hillbilly at heart.
