Resolute: ABA DR Section Needs Presenters

If you've never attended a meeting of the ABA's Section of Dispute Resolution, you've missed out. Great people, terrific programming, fabulous speakers (really!), convenient and fun conference locations...what are you waiting for? Plus, there's always the slim hope that the goodie bags will attain some sort of relevance (really, our only complaint about past conferences!).

What's more, they need presenters! Proposals are being accepted for the following topics:

• Advocacy/Representing Clients in ADR


• Application of ADR in Specialized Cases (e.g., IP, entertainment, healthcare, energy, real estate, insurance, construction, labor/employment)


• Arbitration


• Communication


• Court ADR (yay!)


• Diversity


• Environmental DR


• Ethics


• Government


• International


• Legal Education


• Mediation (duh)


• Negotiation


• Practice Development (expect some discussion about why there are so many mediator training programs, so many mediators, yet so few clients)


• Public Policy

Proposals are DUE September 4, 2008! That's soon, so light a fire under yourself and get to it.
