New Hampshire Most Livable State

By Michael Progar

ADVERTISEMENTS
New Hampshire is the most livable state, and Vermont is the healthiest state, according to the awards announced on March 29 by Morgan Quitno Press, an independent publisher of state and city statistical reference books and databases.

In the 17th annual Most Livable State Awards, New Hampshire and Minnesota retained their first and second place rankings from last year, followed by Wyoming, Utah, and New Jersey. The biggest leap forward was by Oregon, which moved up ten spots to 23rd place. The largest drop was by Missouri, which moved down seven places to 34th.

Following Vermont to round out the top five places in the 15th annual Healthiest State Awards were Minnesota, Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.
