ADVERTISEMENTS
In April, the Supreme Judicial Court announced amendments to Supplemental Probate Court Rule 410, effective May 1, 2009. In that document it stated "old language struck through, new language in italics." The amended rule then included new language in section (1)(a) that was not in italics. We're left to wonder, then, if that particular sentence has officially been changed. Different publishers and databases have treated it differently. Some have included the new language, some have left the old. We've contacted the SJC and are hoping for clarification, but in the meantime, we've elected to include both versions on our web version of the rule. We hope that this is helpful, rather than confusing.Full post as published by Massachusetts Law Updates on September 28, 2009 (boomark / email).
