``It?s a bit incongruous for Bernanke to call for deficit reduction while simultaneously printing mountains of electronic dollars to buy Treasury bonds in order to keep a lid on interest rates. He also provided a more explicit warning that the Fed will NOT monetize deficits indefinitely. But this rhetoric means little until it is backed by a clear willingness to let rates rise.''
