White Plains, New York: Brain Injury Conference

The Burke Rehabilitation Hospital will host a workshop sponsored by the American Society of Neurorehabilitation (ASNR) December 3 and 4, 2010, on Burke?s campus, 785 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, N.Y.

?Traumatic Brain Injury:  The Road to Recovery,? will span the spectrum of brain injury from pre-hospital and critical care management to community reentry. Topics include traumatic brain injury in special populations, such as members of the military, athletes, and children; and pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches to the management of cognitive and behavioral disturbances.  Faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized experts in neurorehabilitation.

The target audience is health care professionals involved in the clinical management and rehabilitation of patients with traumatic brain injury, including physiatrists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, physical, occupational and speech therapists, nurses, and neuropsychologists.
