Keeping familes and friends connected following a brain injury

By Michael Kaplen

ADVERTISEMENTS

I recently came across an on line web site designed to keep family and friend connected after a serious injury takes place.  The free service sponsored by CaringBridge allows individuals to create in a very simple fashion private, personalized web sites which allow for journal entries,, photographs and allow visitors to read updates and leave messages of encouragement. A visit to their site shows that they have received the endorsement of the Brain Injury Association of America.

Use of this site allows loved ones to be freed up to focus on the important task of caring for their loved one rather than spend hours on the telephone passing along updates and talking when you are not really in the mood.

I suggest that anyone with a loved one hospitalized with brain damage, give this site a try.
