Bentzen IRC 5891 "Flub Post" Fastest Rising Post on Speaking of Settlements

By John Darer

ADVERTISEMENTS

Our syndicated story  about the IRC 5891 flubs by Rhonda Bentzen of Bentzen Funding Solutions is almost to the top of the most viewed list over at Speaking of Settlements. Incredibly, despite other newsworthy stories, in only two months IRC 5891 Flub post is more viewed than all but one post on the entire channel; one that has been up for over 6 months!

Besides a torrid reputation as purveyor of gossip about structured settlement industry members she does business with, Bentzen is now known for:

(1) paying off her structured settlement industry clientele for referring structured settlement factoring business to her, a fact Bentzen herself disclosed less than a year ago and making a spectacle of trying to justify why such kick backs are good for tort victims;
(2) a sinister attempt to thwart a means to provide greater transparency to tort victims and their lawyers with respect to structured settlement factoring transactions out of self interest;
(3) at the same time (and historically) doing very little to speak out or write publicly about other factoring company business practices including a company with the managing members as Bentzen Funding Solutions;
(4) lending her name to a company whose managers, Andrew Savyssky and Michael Asseff are also the managers in Structured Asset Funding (a/k/a 123 Lump Sum), a company that advertises a $100,000 plus luxury sportscar and boats as valid reasons to sell structured settlement payment rights;
(5) making the statement that (with respect to factoring) "a price is just a price - one that any self-serving individual could claim to have the best of, especially when quoting it to someone who doesn?t truly understand the ins and outs of the business" after buying into the industry with claims that SHE could get the best price;
(5)putting lipstick on her gossip column pig and , calling it "news", presumably hoping nobody would notice;
(6)doing the "Dan Quayle" on the word "Senator".
