: Ross-Blakley Law Library BlogRomeo is Law Dog of the Week
By Diane Murley
This week’s Law Dog is Romeo Magruder. Janie Magruder, Associate Director of Communications at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, sent us Romy’s picture, as well as this update, “Mr. Romeo Goes to Washington,” to his previous entry on Nov. 28, 2007:
Hi, remember me? I used to live in Connecticut with my Dad, Elliot, then I moved to Tempe to live with my grandparents, Janie and Jack Magruder, and my uncle, Sean. Well, guess what? I’m now living with my Dad again in the nation’s capital. He’s a 1L at Georgetown University Law Center, and we have an apartment near Union Station that we share with a nice guy named Aaron, who also goes to Georgetown. We go for long walks in our neighborhood, where the leaves are changing, and it’s quite chilly, and we play ball in the living room, something that Grandma wouldn’t approve of. There’s also a dog park not too far from our house, and although I’m not much of a dog’s dog, I am trying not to be so fierce around my fellow canines. I have some great news: I’ll be coming back to Arizona for Thanksgiving and staying awhile, while my Dad goes back to school and studies a lot for finals. (Law school must be really hard!) I can’t wait for: turkey scraps on Thanksgiving, rolling around on my back in the grass in my family’s sunny backyard and chasing their two mean old cats!
