This Kind of Makes All the Yinging and Yanging Moot

Last week I posted about how Congress, after much back-and-forth, has decided that once-and-for-all (And we really mean it this time!) that the switchover to digital TV will occur on June 12. According to an article in today’s NY Times, that may not matter much — more than a quarter of major TV stations (491/1,796) will switch to all-digital on February 17, the original date.

I don’t know about you, but when I hear a DTV commerical on TV now, I tune it right out, ’cause I can’t be sure it’s giving me current, accurate info.

Remember Ed Harris’ line in Apollo 13: “Can you tell this is a government operation?”
