The Black and White Ball - BIALL Conference 2009

Friday night at the BIALL Conference saw attendeess get all glammed up for a Black and White ball...with a hint of Ruby Red! The ball took place at the iconic Midland Hotel in Manchester. Dinner was followed by the presentation of two awards, the first the Legal Journals Award was won by the journal Estates Gazette.

The second award presented during the evening was the Wildy-BIALL Law Librarian of the year award. This was won by...and this is a bit weird to write...me (James Mullan)! I'm delighted to have been presented with this award, although it was a complete surprise. It is of course an honour to accept the award and I hope to continue my work with BIALL and in the Legal Information field for many years to come! I'm certain there will be more photos of the awards presenation and of the night published to the new BIALL Website shortly.
