Did you ever view a web page that had good content but when you went back to it later the content was gone or changed? Now Yahoo has an archiving feature that will allow you to archive an existing web page so that you can always get back to that content. Here's how it works. Go to www.yahoo.com and click on My Web
.
You will need to create a login and password to use this feature so click on Sign up Now.
Make sure you remember your login and password, you will need them to get back to your saved files.
Once you have done this you can go back to Yahoo and do a search. Search results will include a link labeled Save.
When you click save you will be prompted to login, then you can add a note to why you were saving this web page and a tag for sorting purposes. You can choose to make you saved pages available to others or only yourself. After making those choices click Save. To go to your saved pages click My Web.
My Web will display a list of archived pages. You can than click on the top link to go to the current version of that page or click My cached copy to see your saved version. This way even if the content of the page has changed on the current web page, you will still have access to the old page.
You can also add a Save to My Web link to your toolbar, which will allow you to save any web page your find to your Yahoo archive. So you do not have to be searching in Yahoo to save a web page. Instructions on how to do that can be found at myweb2.search.yahoo.com/myweb/tools.
