: GamePolitics.comT-Mobile UK Changes Policy on Streaming Video
By james_fudge
The UK division of T-Mobile is cutting the amount of data mobile phone users can consumer when it comes to streaming or downloading video. The company has told its customers to "save that stuff for [their] home broadband." In the UK, T-Mobile is part of Everything Everywhere.
The new limit is 500MB a month, cut down from the once generous amount of 3GB a month offered to Android users. The new changes, which still allow for email and unlimited web surfing, kick in February 1st. Those that go over their limit will face additional usage fees.
Is this a preview of things to come in the US? We do not know but since the FCC has taken a hands-off approach when it comes to mobile when it comes to net neutrality, anything is possible.
