: GamePolitics.comPowerful Coalition Forms to Oppose NBC-Comcast Merger

Politico reports that a coalition of businesses, interest groups and trade associations have formed a group to oppose the Comcast NBC Merger. The group features 21 members, including Bloomberg, Free Press, Media Access Project, Writers Guild of America, West, Writers Guild of America East, and the National Organization for Women.
The group is injecting itself into the public debate with a letter to top House lawmakers, a full-page ad in the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune and a new website that uses language like "viewers like you" to point out that consumers would be hurt by the deal.
The campaign launches as the House subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet lands in Chicago for a merger field hearing this week.
