Meantime, Trasylol kidney failure and various other Trasylol side effects are still an issue—that's because Trasylol was never banned. Bayer AG, the Trasylol manufacturer, simply agreed to stop actively marketing the drug. But there is no ban and no recall. The barn door is still open.
