O'Melveny's James Asperger joins Quinn Emanuel

By Jonathan Hayter

ADVERTISEMENTS

The head of the white-collar crime practice at O'Melveny & Myers, James Asperger, has left for Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges.

Asperger, who was an assistant U.S. attorney in Los Angeles from 1983 to 1993, joins Los Angeles-based Quinn Emanuel as a partner and will be co-chairman of the firm's white-collar group. The other co-chairs are Steven Madison, in Los Angeles; John Potter, in San Francisco; and Faith Gay, in New York.

Asperger, who was at O'Melveny for 15 years, declined to comment beyond a firm release in which he said: "The opportunity to join Quinn Emanuel, with its strategic focus on major civil trials and white collar matters, was just too appealing to pass up."
