O.C.'s first law school gets sold

Maryann_jones Orange County's first law school was sold to a Switzerland-based education company, the O.C. Register reported.

Western State University College of Law, founded in 1966, was sold by Education Management Corporation to Knowledge Investment Partners for between $5 million and $10 million on Wednesday.

The sale still needs to be OK'd by accrediting agencies.

WSU law dean Maryann Jones, who is retiring, told the O.C. Register that the school didn't fit the corporate mission of its now previous parent company.
