: Legal Pad | LALeClairRyan comes to L.A. with merger

LeClairRyan will merge with Wright Robinson, who has two California offices, The Recorder reports.
There are only nine attorneys at Wright Robinson's Los Angeles office, but LeClairRyan plans to double its ranks since within the next year or two. Some East Coast lawyers might be relocated by the 220-lawyer firm.
Wright Robinson, a 50 lawyer firm, focuses on product liability, insurance coverage, environmental and employment litigation. LeClairRyan Chair Gary LeClair said he'd like to expand services to include a corporate, venture capital and banking practice by adding some lateral partners.
The merger of the two firms, both based in Richmond, Va., is effective March 31 and will be known as LeClairRyan.
