: Legal Pad | LAJustice Miriam Vogel to retire next week

After nearly two decades on the 2nd Appellate District Court of Appeal, Justice Miriam A.
Vogel is retiring next Thursday, the Metropolitan News Enterprise reported.
Vogel's retirement was expected after Gov. Schwarzenegger appointed Justice Robert Mallano as presiding justice for the division, MetNews reported.
Vogel was previously a partner at Maiden Rosenblook, practicing civil litigation and appellate law. She was appointed to Los Angeles Superior Court in 1986 and nominated to be elevated to the 2nd Appellate District Court of Appeal in 1990.
