Duragesic Fentanyl Patch Results in Death of Six-Year-Old

New York, NY: In a telling commentary of just how dangerous the Duragesic patch can be, a New York woman inadvertently caused the death of a six-year-old foster child in her care after giving the child a fentanyl patch. While it is not known if the patch was one of the units identified in a Duragesic recall, the tragic story highlights just how potent and potentially dangerous the Duragesic product is.
