Don't Cry for Avandia Maker Glaxo Just Yet

Philadelphia, PA: Profits may have been down in the first quarter when compared to a year ago, but the manufacturer of Avandia and gatekeeper of the Avandia recall appears to be holding its own. And while the risk for Avandia heart attack and other Avandia side effects continues for Type 2 diabetes patients, GlaxoSmithKline's own health appears to be stable, if not robust.
