Brette Simon joins Jones Day as partner

Transactional attorney Brette S. Simon joins Jones Day's Los Angeles office as a partner.

Simon was previously at Sheppard Mullin, representing companies and investors in private equity and venture capital financings, M & A and join venture transactions.

She's also a member of the American Bar Association's committees on negotiated acquisitions, venture capital and private equity as well as the Los Angeles County Bar Association business and corporations committee.

Simon is on the board of directors of Bet Tzedek (Hebrew: "house of justice") which provides free legal services in the Fairfax area, at its North Hollywood office and at senior centers throughout Los Angeles County.
