Answer: Dickstein Shapiro's Daniel Horwitz. A member of Madoff's Dickstein defense team last summer, the New York litigator and ex-Manhattan prosecutor served as Letterman's lawyer during the criminal investigation into former CBS News producer Robert Halderman's scheme to blackmail the late night talk show host, which resulted in Halderman entering a guilty plea on Tuesday.
