Are You a Stick Figure?

ADVERTISEMENTS

Are you a stick figure? If you answered no to that question, I’m disappointed. Let me tell you why…

Stick figures get a lot done. Think about cartoon characters. They have one personality, one outfit, one look, and usually, one fatal flaw that can take them down.

Stick figures are versatile. They can do any job, be anyone, and if they need something, they just draw it. And the best part about stick figures – everyone can recognize them.

Let me ask you one more time…are you a stick figure? Are you simplifying your approach to get things done? Are you instantly recognizable? Do you know how to create the resources you need?

How to Blog Like a Stick Figure

How do you produce content so simple that anybody can understand it? Furthermore, how do you build up resources so vast you can draw on them at any moment? Well, let me share a few ideas:

Simplify Your Approach to Blogging

A lot of new bloggers want to become “pro” right off the bat. Well, that’s not really going to happen. You need to go it one line at a time. Begin with a solid framework and expand upon it as you need to.

For example: when you start your blog, focus on writing an amazing post. Now publish it and move on to the next post. Thing of each post as its own goal, and strive to help it reach its full potential.

Stick figures work to accomplish one idea at a time. And when put together, they can produce a complex but working idea. When each post stands alone, they’ll come together to create one massive power-house.

Simple. Complex. Awesome.

“Draw” On Your Resources

If you can’t find a good solution to a problem, make one up. The great thing about stick figures is that you can erase them and modify them until they work. Cartoon characters, not so much. Don’t be afraid to experiment and “draw” what you need to succeed. Learn how to press some buttons and build a name for yourself.

Become Recognizable

Chances are, if your content stands alone and together, and you know how to get things done, people will start recognizing you. However, branding is still important. Simple is easy to remember.

Everybody can recognize a stick figure. Can everybody recognize your logo with four different colors and textures all over the place?

Have Some Fun!

Cartoons are always caught up in expressions and actions. They do the same things all the time, and get into the same predicaments over and over again.

Stick figures just do and move on. If they get splattered or fall into holes, who cares? They’re stick figures. Have some fun in your approach and don’t be afraid to experiment!

Are You a Stick Figure?

What do you think? Are you a stick figure, or a cartoon character?
