Lawyers: do you want to join a webinar experiment?

By Ernie Svenson

ADVERTISEMENTS

I've long wanted to try my GoToMeeting account to host a webinar on technology tips.  I know that this would be a very efficient way to show people how I do certain things on my computer, in a way that literally allows them to see my screen up close and personal.

What's kept me from doing is the idea of making it a full-blown CLE, when I know that the first few times I do it I'd have to work out some kinks. So, here's what I propose: how about if a small group of 'beta-testers' sign up so that we can get this project off the ground.

The benefits to the attendees would be that they could attend a webinar from the comfort of home/office and get more in depth information (and even ask questions).  No CLE is the downside, but then there would be no cost either.  I would be running my Mac, but I wouldn't emphasize Mac stuff too much.  My goal is to make these kinds of webinars platform-agnostic as much as possible.

So, if you're interested in being part of the beta-group send me an email to esvenson@gmail.com.  The first group will be limited to 6 people just so we can iron out any problems without frustrating a larger group. The biggest 'problem' I envision is just getting people acclimated to the process of signing into an online meeting.  I've done it with clients before and it's not too hard, but I want to see how it goes with a slightly larger group than I've worked with in the past.
