LAW TECHNOLOGY NOW

ADVERTISEMENTS

Lawtechlogo_180x170 Radio Daze: I'm beginning to feel like I'm going full-circle back to my radio days! I've been enjoying moderating our Law.com E-Discovery webinar series (currently sponsored by Zantaz); I'll be presenting a live webinar next Tuesday for the National Constitution Center ("Media Relations Bootcamp for Lawyers;" and we've just launched our new monthly Law.com podcast, Law Technology Now, with Monica Bay.

We are very excited about Law.com's Law Technology Now, which is produced in partnership with the terrific team at Legal Talk Network. I love the title, which my colleague David Snow suggested, but it's going to get a bit confusing with all these LTNs now!

The idea behind the podcast is to supplement Law Technology News ? each month, I will interview an author from the current edition. Each podcast is approximately 15 minutes long, and provides an opportunity for members of the legal community to hear about the latest developments in technology that are designed to help lawyers deliver ?faster, better and cheaper? legal services to their clients.

The inaugural program features David Whelan, a long-time member of LTN's editorial advisory board, who is manager of legal information for the Law Society of Upper Canada. He will discuss his December issue article, ?RSS: Simply Powerful,? about how ?really simple syndication? tools can help legal professions easily track the information they need to practice law effectively. Whelan explains how to set up RSS so that you can monitor your favorite news sources, blogs, websites and so much more.

In the January edition, I'm interviewing George Rudoy, director, global practice technology and information services, for Shearman & Sterling, about international issues in e-discovery (focusing on multiple language issues).

I need a special shout out to thank Jill Windwer, David Snow, and the incredible Law.com and Legal Talk Network teams. It's amazing how much work has to be done "behind the curtain" to set up these programs, and they are flat-out awesome, and a pleasure to work with.
