I hope it doesn't seem like all I do lately is talk about how my life is super awesome and perfect. Things have been great for us lately, but, I don't know, it doesn't seem that long ago that I was sobbing while the baby screamed because I was so sleep-deprived and didn't know what to do, or that Dan and I were realizing that we had committed to live in a crazy expensive city for the next two years on small salaries with huge debt and a baby, and maybe we had done an irresponsible, impossible thing, or I was getting rejected for a clerkship I really wanted that everyone said I was a lock for. Etcetera.

The last four months have been really special, but not normal, and I really appreciate everyone who's cheered us on and been happy for us. I don't take it for granted, because this, too, shall pass.
