Super Tuesday

When it warms up a few degrees, Becca and I will head down to the public library a few blocks away and to the polls for the first presidential primary where my vote truly matters. Dan voted for McCain early this morning on his way to work. We love to vote in this family.

In 2004, I went to a Chicago elementary school and voted for state senator and former community organizer and law professor Barack Obama for the U.S. Senate, proudly. Today I will vote for him for president of the United States. I respect Hillary Clinton and will vote for her in the general if that's how it plays out, but I'm voting for Obama with total enthusiasm and idealism, because of the war, because of campaign tactics, because of their records as legislators, because of the administrations I think they'd have, because of an energized youth vote, and because yes, we can. I hope he pulls this thing out.

Either way, get to those polls.
