Our dinner was punctuated with cries of "Ned, Ned!" and "Sun! Sun!" br /br /K recently got a book called a href="http://www.amazon.com/Snow-Philip-D-Eastman/dp/0394800273/" target="newWin"Snow/a. The main characters, two girls and their dog, have all sorts of snow fun. They build a snowman, K's second favorite thing after lightbulbs.br /br /And then the sun comes out.br /br /And Ned the snowman MELTS.br /br /When K realized this, he looked at me in a panic. "Ned? Ned!" "The sun came out. Snow needs to be cold. The sun melted the snowman," I explained helpfully. "Snowmen melt in the sun. Just like Frosty." br /br /"MELT! NED?? NED!" br /br /Eventually I turned to JW, who showed K a picture of Ned from a few pages before he melted. "See," he said. "Ned is still here." br /br /K felt better, but for the rest of the night would suddenly wrinkle his brow and cry, "Ned! Sun, sun!" br /br /He is never getting a goldfish.Full post as published by Magic Cookie on December 22, 2008 (boomark / email).
