Increased traffic to Traditional Notions

ADVERTISEMENTS
Despite my lack of posting, there has been an increased uptick in google searches finding Traditional Notions.

First, my post on a NYT article last year has attracted a surge in people searching the term "Venezuelan names'" that is apparently occasioned by news reports that Venezuela is currently considering legislation to limit parents to giving their children one of 100 officially sanctioned names. Actually, this is a growing trend worldwide; see Frank Pasquale's reports on efforts to limit parents naming rights in Thailand and New Zealand and other countries.

Second, for some people fall means changing leaves and Halloween. For incoming 1L's, fall means Pennoyer v. Neff all the way through Burnham v. Superior Court. It seems like there are quite a few people out there trying to make sense out of the phrase "traditional notions of fair play and substantial justice" and the rest of personal jurisdiction, and that there are very few online resources that talk about Burnham. I'm glad TN can be of help to these searchers, as even Wikipedia doesn't have much info on Burnham.

Always nice to have traffic. I'll post more soon.
