Is Huckabee The New Anti-McCain?

By wt

It will be interesting to see, after the far-right convinced themselves that Romney was their candidate, whether they can convince themselves that Huckabee is their candidate as of now.

I doubt it.

But do you think that says something about the ultra far-right?

Ron Paul? Not our candidate.
Giuliani? Not our candidate.
Huckabee? Not our candidate.
McCain? Not our candidate.

Thompson, Romney, Hunter, Brownback, Gilmore, Tancredo? Not viable. A total of how many primaries won between them? How many delegates?

When your political positions require such adherence that you insist your candidate adopt them, even when you know they aren't winning positions or ones that people can maintain without flip-flopping egregiously, it might be time to realize your positions are pretty out there.

There's talk of a third-party run already.
